Ma'ama Jama's

Carlie deOrellana is the heart and soul behind Ma’ama Jama’s (Pronounced-- Ma'am uh Jam uhs). With a love for snacks and a passion to heal chronic illness, she started a healing journey that led to the recipes created for Ma’ama Jama’s.  Opening in Bend in 2016 she started her business focusing solely on catering for private events and public events to the likes of The Bite of Bend, Ted X, & the Les Schwab amphitheater concerts. Expanding their service, they started serving smoothies, tea, and a limited food menu to the public.

Then in 2017, combing forces with her partner Kyle Hyneman and his 10+ years experience in fine dining as a chef in Portland, Ma’ama Jama’s evolved into a gluten-free, plant-based food cart, meets farm-to-table style fine dining. Carlie & Kyle both share the passion of knowing their purpose for being on this planet, is to contribute in making it a better place... one snack at a time.  Both born & raised in Oregon, feel lucky enough to be amongst many other like minded people who understand & appreciate their vision.

We take immense pride and offering conscious recipes made from scratch, using the most important ingredient of all—real love! Every item on our menu we consider a healing food and made with the freshest ingredients.  Organic & sourcing from local farms whenever possible, working with seasonally grown food, and meeting special dietary needs. Always non-GMO, plant-based, vegetarian, gluten-free, soy-free, corn-free, egg-free, and dairy-free. We are Paleo & Vegan friendly.

Providing Bend with a healthy option, that’s unique, simple, and delicious. At the heart of Ma’ama Jama’s, every day we freshly make our hand-pressed coconut cream, and use it in many of our signature dishes like the grain-free sweet potato noodles and in any one of our organic plant-based smoothies. There’s not any product that compares to Ma’ama Jama’s coconut cream. It’s both Organic and Vegan, made without any add-ins or sweetener…just filtered water, Organic Coconut, & Real Love.

Our motto of “made with real love” comes from the belief that the energy put into the preparation of our products is an important part of the consumer experience. When someone orders a smoothie or sweet potato noodles, we guarantee an experience that is unique, healthy, & delicious. Whether a patron is new to the health world or a seasoned veteran, we want our food to help spark vitality within everyone so they can go out into the world and be the change they want to feel and see.
